Saddam Hussein Takes First Place
With Record Sized Pumpkin

HALF MOON BAY, CA (IWR Satire) -- Saddam Hussein of Medford, OR watches a forklift put his winning 1,860-pound pumpkin on a scale during the Half Moon Bay Great Pumpkin Weigh-Off. Mr. Hussein won a prize of $5,900 for his  record sized pumpkin, beating the old record by seventy pounds. Gordon Gourde, the Great Pumpkin Weigh-Off president, had this to say: "He told everybody his name was Sammy Hussein.  I thought he looked familiar, but he sure as hell had the biggest friggin' pumpkin at our event!"
