Tom Ridge to Issue A Slinky to Every American
as Part of Operation Liberty Shield

Washington - Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge announced today, as part of Operation Liberty Shield, his department would begin issuing a "Slinky" to every man, woman and child in the U.S.  "Each citizen will be required to carry this slinky on his or her person at all times.  This will help Attorney General John Ashcroft tell the real patriotic American, who has a Slinky, from the terrorist, who doesn't have one," said Mr. Ridge to reporters.
