When I first checked last year there weren't many Dead Can Dance (DCD) videos available on YouTube, but that has changed big time. One reason I always liked DCD was that their music was always more artistic and from the heart instead of just being commercial. Because their music is so unique it never sounds dated. Here are a few of my favorite songs by the group: Cantara, Rakim (lyrics) and The Carnival Is Over (lyrics). BTW, Lisa Gerrard sings in glossolalia (tongues) so don't even try to make out what she's singing. [Permalink] [ ] |
